A combined automatic drop seal with built-in intumescing material. This unique seal provides all the same benefits as the CP-A08 such as acoustic performance, draught prevention, dirt, insect and light nuisance prevention, with the added feature of incorporating an intumescing material at the bottom of the door that will expand in the event of a fire. This saves installation space in the bottom of the door and installation time compared to installations where a separate intumescent strip is used in conjunction with a drop seal.

The CP-A08FR is fully mortised into the bottom of the door and the mechanism activates when the door is closed, lowering and self-levelling the seal to the floor. When the door is opened the seal lifts clear of the floor and retreats into its housing. No threshold plate is required for use with this seal. 

The seal housing is made from anodised aluminium, the seal material is non-flammable silicon rubber. 

This seal is available in a range of lengths and can also be cut down to suit individual door widths.
